Ash vs. Maple.
There are tangible differences between Maple and Ash. But for us, we think it is more of a personal preference about "feel." Some players like the feel of one vs. the other and that is what matters most we think. Technically speaking though, Maple is a harder, more dense wood than ash. Maple grain will not split with continued use while a top quality ash begins to slinger after continued use. Ash is lighter and more flexible which some hitters actually like compared to the more rigid feel of Maple. Ash is also a more "grainy" looking wood. More detailed info on this soon.
