One bat for the season
How to break in your composite bat
The Bonesaber Composite is built to last a full season. Here's how to make sure it gets there.
The Right Way to Break It In
Start on the Tee
50 hits off the tee. No full swings. Let the composite begin to open up under controlled contact.
Move to Soft Toss
Another 50 hits from soft toss. Still controlled — you're building the sweet spot, not testing it.
BP Ready at 150–200 Hits
After 150–200 total hits the composite is open. Now you can take full swings in batting practice and games.
Rotate Every Hit
Rotate the bat a quarter turn between every swing. This ensures even break-in across the full barrel — not just one spot.
What Will Void Your Trial
- No cold weather use under 60°F
- No weighted balls, rubber balls, or pitching machines using these balls during break-in process.
- No shortcuts. Hitting off hard surfaces or rolling ruins the bat. It doesn't help with break-in. Get your tee work in.
Your Trial Timeline
Days 1–10: Break-In
Break it in. Follow the steps above for extended peak performance. No shortcuts.
Days 10–55: Feel it
Use it in bp, and most importantly against live pitching. Make sure this is the right bat for your swing.
Day 55: Decision Time
For your 60day trail. Keep it or return it.
