Following the deadly wildfires that devastated Maui early last month, we reached out to friend of Warstic, Eddie Vedder, the front man of the epic American band Pearl Jam, to see if we could help those affected. Eddie generously autographed 10 of these Ohana Edition Warstic Wood Bats for us to auction and raise funding for Vitalogy Maui Wildfire Relief.
One bat was auctioned at this year's Ohana Festival and the remaining 9 are now available to bid online thru 10/21! BID NOW
The Maui wildfires destroyed more than 2,000 structures with billions of dollars in damages, but we have yet to calculate the untold human toll of the fire. From the roughly 100 confirmed deaths to the ongoing pain of the families who have lost their homes and loved ones, we are heart broken for this community.
The worst damages were concentrated in the Lahaina community which held deep cultural significance and was home to historic landmarks that can never be replaced. Those who return will do so donning protective gear due to the potentially toxic ash that covers where their home once stood.
This tragedy is not over….and neither is the fight. Now the people of Maui, together with friends, neighbors and strangers from around the world, will focus on rebuilding what they can and remembering what was lost. With this donation we hope to help in their effort. BATTLE
